I went for my a second time. The first time my medium box braids took over 9 hrs and 4 women touched my head. Not tho mention the stylists sent a couple hrs arguing with each other and one even ended up crying. This time I went in asking for individuals. I knew the woman knew what I meant because she clarified by asking “so u want random parts not boxed” and I said yes. Still ended up with box braids???? which would’ve cost me less. They only take cash because they don’t want to have to argue with each other about tips and don’t want to have to wait to get paid so they rather inconvenience a customer and they’re overall just rude. The greeting you get when u walk through the door is cold and unwelcoming if u get greeted at all. And trust if u call to schedule an appointment and spend your HARD EARNED money they will suck their teeth roll there eyes and have a snarky comment when u get off the phone. I don’t recommend wasting your time and money to inconvenience these busy women.

My daughter had her hair braided there 3 days ago as well which is why I made an appointment for myself totally worth it!
My experience here was ok seems as if the braiders like to go the shortcut way. I text the owner on Friday after I came home and took a look at the back of head.. These braids are a joke. Some knotless , some regular, some parts really large. Her customer service horrible she did not respond to my messages and pictures of my hair… I don’t know how this place have 4 stars. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HAIR… Hairstyle nothing like the pictures I sent. This was a simple hairstyle..
It was an opportunity of a life time. All I know about braiding was learned right here. The owner Kady, is an amazing woman. She treats her staff and and clients like family. I know I have said this but I can't say it enough; thank you Ms. Kady, you helped me when I knew no one and no where to go as I was new in the U S, and you taught me how to braid, and encouraged me when I was ready to go and start on my own. Thank you for everything you taught, may God continue to bless you, your family and the Another Look braiding shop.
Since my last review and pictures got deleted I decided to post another. My 11 year old came in to get box braids. They braided her hair so tight she had bumps and irritation all over her scalp. I voiced my concerns to the owner and she was very dismissive. I had given this business $300 within a 3 week period, you would have thought they would show some common courtesy. Hence my daughter also had developed 2 bald spots as a result from the tight braiding. Hopefully you all won't delete this review as well. Customers should be able to share their experience with your business.
I having been coming to this braiding salon since 2008. Everyone here are professional, do great work, and the braiding styles are affordable. They work very fast and the braids are always neat. The environment is very friendly and comfortable. I highly suggest this braiding salon.
They were able to fit me in and my hair looks great. Wish I'd known all the styles they do probably would've gotten goddess braids but definitely next time. I loved my hair so much I sent our daughter there. We have a funeral to go to so getting great hairstyles, great prices with hair included ( love the fact that it's not the stiff itchy stuff) and it didn't take as long as it normally takes. Superfast. Hair moves like hair should,see photos not alot of smiles in the pics cuz I lost someone in my family I was close to
I have been a customer at this shop for at least seven years. I agree with one of the previous reviewers who mentioned you can find good braiders and professional service on the right day. Overall, this shop is completely unprofessional. Scheduling an appointment means nothing here. Both my daughter and I have waited in the past over an hour to almost two hours when we have scheduled appointments. Recently I scheduled an 8:30AM appointment and arrived timely to find the shop closed, lock and three other customers already waiting who had 8AM appointments. I called the shop number and was told that staff were not there because they worked late, with no apology or consideration of my timely arrival. Once someone finally arrived and open the shop, I continued to wait for over an hour. I mentioned leaving and rescheduling and was told I needed to be “patient” after waiting over an hour because the stylists worked late the night before. This is not the first time this has happened. On a previous encounter my daughter waited over an hour and half and another customer who had a later appointment was taken ahead of her because she had an “easier” and “quicker” style. Just unacceptable. It’s unfortunate because the owner is a very sweet lady (some of the staff are too) and they braid well but their service is too inconsistent and unprofessional. I would not recommend wasting your time here.
